I tried Parkway’s Thanksgiving po-boy for the first time. Was it worth the wait?

There are very few things worth standing in line to get for longer than 15 minutes, least of all an over-hyped sandwich.

So, with that personal fear in mind, I’ve for years avoided trying the Thanksgiving po-boy from Parkway Bakery & Tavern for worry it wouldn’t live up to the hype.

But last year, I learned the New Orleans Mid-City creation was more than just a sandwich. Proceeds of the sales go to the Al Copeland Foundation, which, for me, changes everything…
