It’s another morning of dense fog for southeastern Louisiana and the New Orleans area, and the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway has deployed rolling Causeway Police convoys to limit traffic speeds going either side on the bridge Thursday morning.
The rolling convoys were announced just before 6 a.m. by Causeway officials.
The rolling fog convoy is still in effect on the Causeway – Northbound bridge. Causeway Police may determine various speeds that coincide with visibility on the bridge. No lane changes in convoy. https://t.co/vc1PNDoSXt

Causeway Police may determine various speed limits drivers must follow depending on the visibility levels on the bridge. Convoys are usually deployed on the Causeway when visibility reaches 500 feet or less…
