NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Mayor-elect Helena Moreno announced Friday (Nov. 21) a new website to increase awareness of resources available to inform and advise community members in the face of planned federal immigration enforcement operations.
“My first priority is to keep our community safe,” Moreno said. “The reports of due process violations and potential abuses in other cities are concerning. I want our community to be aware and informed of the protections available under law. We must demand accountability and that peoples’ rights are not violated.”
