NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Fear and concern are spreading across the New Orleans metro area as everyone anticipates the arrival of Border Patrol to begin the operation “Swamp Sweep.”
“People are really, really scared. And people who have green cards and believe that they are here legally are scared due to the fact that they worry they’re going to be racially profiled and detained,” Mayor-elect Helena Moreno said.
