Fire on S. Genois St. Displaces Local Resident; No Injuries Reported

On the night of November 28, 2025, a fire occurred at a single-story shotgun double residence at 1332-34 S. Genois St. in New Orleans. The New Orleans Fire Department (NOFD) arrived within five minutes of the call at 9:36 p.m. Firefighters found the rear of the home burning and called a second alarm at 9:48 p.m. as a precaution because the fire was close to a neighboring unoccupied property.

Sixteen NOFD units and forty-five personnel responded. The fire was under control by 10:09 p.m. The adult male resident of 1334 S. Genois St. was not home and returned during the response.
