Border Patrol sweeps across the New Orleans metro area have left some Hispanic-owned restaurants in Mid-City and Kenner closed, their interiors empty and signs opposing ICE and Border Patrol taped to their windows.
Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser said the operations have created fear in immigrant communities and disruptions in the local workforce.
