NEW ORLEANS — A woman was found shot dead in the Holy Cross neighborhood Saturday afternoon, according to the New Orleans Police Department.
Officers said they were called to a reported shooting in the 900 block of St. Maurice Avenue around 5:28 p.m. When they arrived, officers found a woman lying on the porch of a house. EMS personnel pronounced the woman dead on the scene.
The victim’s identity is unknown at this time and the investigation is ongoing. The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause death…
