First Alert: Freezing temperatures and low wind chills arrive tonight

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Cold air continues to funnel into our area, plunging us into a freeze tonight.

Monday morning will be frigid. The Northshore will see lows in the mid to upper 20s. A pencil-thin faucet drip overnight and into Monday morning will be necessary for many.

The south shore and river parishes are likely to see temperatures in the upper 20s to lower 30s. This is a light freeze, so pipes aren’t as much of a concern, and dripping faucets aren’t necessary…
