Former New Orleans bus monitor wants justice after alleged attack by student and mother

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – A former New Orleans bus monitor says there’s no movement in her case after a local high school student and her mother allegedly attacked her on a school bus in August.

Tamika Jackson’s last few months have been about recovery. She was allegedly attacked by a McDonough 35 High School student and her mother on a school bus she was working on in August after she told the student she couldn’t sit in the back of the bus.

“Sometimes I catch myself crying,” Jackson said. “I get in my moments, you know, because I feel like justice still (hasn’t) been served.”
