A New Orleans man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting Saturday afternoon in the Plum Orchard area, according to the New Orleans Police Department.
Homer Gross, 27, is accused in a shooting that left one man dead around 1:58 p.m. in the 4600 block of Wilson Avenue.
Officers responding to reports of a shooting found the unresponsive man inside a residence. Police said the victim had suffered at least one gunshot wound and paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Same day arrest
Detectives identified Gross as the perpetrator of the homicide, though they didn’t say what evidence led to his arrest. He was arrested the same day and booked into the Orleans Parish jail on a count of second-degree murder, police said…
