The funeral plans for New Orleans Smooth jazz violinist Michael Ward include a special honor reserved for prominent musicians and other local dignitaries.
His body will lie in state at Gallier Hall, 545 St. Charles Avenue, on Friday, Jan. 2, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the second floor grand ballroom.
