NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Dense fog will continue to be an issue through the holiday week as warm moist air moves across the cool surface waters. Temperatures will be on the warm side each day with lows in the upper 50s and 60s and highs in the middle 70s. We could see a spotty shower or two around today. High temperatures climb into the middle 70s.
We will continue to see this pattern through Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Be prepared for low clouds and fog as you plan your local holiday travel. Remember to take extra time, use the low beams and increase your stopping distance. A weak front will approach towards the end of the weekend. We could see a better shot at a shower Sunday into Monday…
