NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – The New Orleans Police Department is using Project NOLA cameras to monitor vehicles on Bourbon Street outside permitted times, Project NOLA Executive Director Bryan Lagarde confirmed.

Lagarde told FOX 8 the nonprofit reached an agreement with NOPD after a meeting with Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick in recent weeks.
He said the cameras send notifications to NOPD when vehicles drive on Bourbon Street while it is closed to traffic.
Lagarde said neither NOPD nor the city is paying for the service…
