NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Dense sea fog is going to rule our forecast for the Christmas holiday and beyond.
Tonight sea fog is in the process of rolling inland. This will only worsen by morning leading to multiple hours after daybreak where we will be fogged in. At times visibilities could drop to near zero. Into the afternoon on your Christmas Eve we should see a little sun allowing for highs to climb into the warm 70s. Near water fog could stay all day.
A rinse and repeat set up each night is expected the rest of the week. Santa could be flying into the area with dense fog as early as 8 or 9 Christmas Eve evening. Little will change for Christmas Day…
