NEW ORLEANS — Christmas morning looked a little different at Covenant House New Orleans, but the spirit was just as strong.
Youth staying at the shelter gathered with staff Thursday morning to celebrate the holiday with presents, decorated Christmas trees, and gingerbread houses. The celebration ran from 9 to 11 a.m. at Covenant House on North Rampart Street.
Covenant House serves young people ages 16 to 22 who are experiencing homelessness. Leaders say moments like this matter just as much as the daily support the organization provides…
