Governor Landry declares four days of statewide mourning in remembrance of French Quarter terror attack victims

Governor Jeff Landry has announced that beginning January 1, 2026, the State of Louisiana will enter a four-day period of mourning and reflection in remembrance of the victims of the French Quarter terrorist attack.

Flags will be flown at half-staff each of the four days. The Governor’s Office also asks that churches, public buildings, and other institutions join us in ringing their bells 14 times on January 4, at 3:15 PM in honor of the 14 innocent lives lost. We will never forget.
