NEW ORLEANS — Reaching 100 years of life is no small feat, and for Odette Logan, it was a milestone worth celebrating the New Orleans way.
Logan officially joined the “century club” on Dec. 26, and on Saturday afternoon, friends, family and neighbors gathered outside her Broadmoor home to mark the occasion with a lively block party just steps from her front porch.
Seated in what many called the best seat in the house, Logan watched as generations of loved ones celebrated a woman whose roots in the neighborhood run deep. Logan has lived in the same Broadmoor home for 90 years, where she and her late husband, William, raised six children…
