NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A man was found dead in a New Orleans housefire Sunday, Dec. 28.
According to the New Orleans Fire Department, crews were dispatched to a house at 2360 Vienna Street. The first NOFD units arrived at 7:20 a.m. to find a fire in a single-story home with flames emanating from the left-front corner. Firefighters immediately conducted an interior attack on the fire, while simultaneously searching the house for residents.

During the search, a 41-year-old man was found unresponsive. He was declared dead upon NOFD arrival. He was identified as a resident of the home.
The fire was brought under control around 7:52 a.m. The cause of both the fire and the fatality are under investigation…
