BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Data obtained by the WAFB I-TEAM from the state shows 13 people died on Louisiana roadways over four days from Christmas Day (12/25) through Monday morning (12/29).
The 13 deaths over a four-day window mark the third deadliest period on Louisiana’s roads over the four-day Christmas holiday since 2015. Only 2018 (16 deaths) and 2021 (17 deaths) saw more people die during that same time frame.
The four-day stretch included ten deadly crashes leaving 13 people dead. Most of the crashes were in the New Orleans and Baton Rouge metro areas…
