NEW ORLEANS — New Orleans welcomed 2026 in familiar style, as a glowing fleur-de-lis descended over the French Quarter at midnight.
The glowing symbol slid down a 25-foot pole from the top of the Jax Brewery building as the crowd counted down to the New Year. Moments later, fireworks lit up the sky over the Mississippi River.
The countdown capped off a lively evening at Woldenberg Park, where crowds gathered for a free outdoor concert featuring Dumpstaphunk, Sweet Crude and DJ Captain…
