One year later Arkansas native reflects on New Orleans attack

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – New Year’s Day marks one year since the New Year’s Day terrorist attack in New Orleans.

On Jan. 1, 2025, a truck drove into crowds on Bourbon Street, killing 14 people. It was around 3 a.m. when Little Rock native Ben Weaver was on Bourbon Street, celebrating both the start of the new year and his birthday.

Everything felt normal until Weaver noticed people suddenly running, leaving many confused about what was happening…
