NEW ORLEANS — Fourteen candles were carried to the altar inside Immaculate conception Church in downtown New Orleans Sunday afternoon. Each one burned in honor of those who were tragically killed a year ago during the terror attack on Bourbon Street. Dozens of survivors are still dealing with what happened.
“There when the weight of the world feels unbearable, the memories come back suddenly, the noises, the fear and the silence after,” said survivor Brittany Francois.
