NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Three years ago on this day, January 5, someone dropped off 15-year old Terriek James at University Medical Center. He’d been shot, and he died at the scene. The case remains unsolved and is the latest one to roll on the Wheel of Justice.

In the first week of 2023, the NOPD investigated a spate of violent crimes, including a mass shooting that left two people dead. But James’ case could remain the biggest mystery from those days. Not only does the case remain unsolved, police also don’t know the location where James was shot or who was driving the car that left him at UMC.
