Heavy rain, storm threat hit as cold front moves in this weekend

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Very warm and humid air is fueling storms across the region today ahead of a cold front pushing in during the day on Saturday.

The heaviest rainfall will likely fall to the north and west. Three to four inches of rain had already fallen by mid-morning Friday in a band that stretches across Tangipahoa Parish.

Some storms have the potential for gusty winds and even low-end tornado development…
