NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – The Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested and charged a deputy accused of working paid off-duty details while simultaneously being on the clock for the agency.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, its Investigative Services Bureau and Internal Affairs–Criminal Section opened an investigation into Detective Sharhonda Hadley following allegations of financial mismanagement involving an off-duty detail she coordinated. While the victims declined to press charges in that matter, investigators uncovered payroll irregularities showing that Hadley had been paid her OPSO salary while also receiving compensation for one or more off-duty details.
