NEW ORLEANS — New Orleans police are investigating an armed carjacking reported Saturday afternoon in the Gentilly area.
According to the New Orleans Police Department, the incident happened around 2:59 p.m. near the intersection of Franklin Avenue and North Galvez Street.
Police said an adult man was sitting inside his 2023 Toyota Camry when an armed suspect approached and pointed a weapon, demanding that the victim exit the vehicle. Investigators said the suspect entered the car through the passenger side and demanded the victim’s cell phone and wallet…
