Woman fatally struck by car in St. Bernard Parish

ST. BERNARD PARISH, La. (WGNO) — An Arabi woman was struck and killed by a car Sunday, Jan. 18 in St. Bernard Parish.

According to the Louisiana State Police, 43-year-old Lisa Doucet died in the crash. A 2015 Dodge Caravan was traveling west on Highway 39, approaching the intersection of Rowley Boulevard, with a green traffic signal displayed. As the Caravan traveled through the intersection, Doucet was walking north on Rowley Boulevard, crossing the Highway within the marked crosswalk when she was struck by the Caravan.
