Four months after a Metairie grandfather of five died when authorities say he was stabbed and hit by a vehicle, a Jefferson Parish grand jury indicted his wife with his murder.
Carmella Battiste, also known as Carmella Motley, 60, was charged Jan. 16 with second-degree murder and obstruction of justice, court records said.
