Orleans school board, city working on settlement after Moreno pitches payment plan

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – The attorney for the Orleans Parish School Board says the district and the City of New Orleans have swapped settlement offers to end a legal battle over millions of dollars.

Attorney Bill Aaron said the city and the school district discussed the proposals in a mediation overseen by Orleans Parish Civil Court Judge Nicole Sheppard on Tuesday (Jan. 20).

Aaron declined to give specifics, but said there was “movement” on both sides…
