A beloved New Orleans coffee brand is opening in former PJ’s space in Old Metairie

Old Metairie residents missing their coffee fix after the closure of PJ’s Coffee on Metairie Road are in luck, as a well-known local coffee chain moves into the space under new leadership.

French Truck Coffee will open its 14th location in early 2026 in the shopping center at 800 Metairie Road, taking over the site that PJ’s shuttered last fall, the company announced in a press release.

The new location comes as the company’s CEO role changes hands from founder Geoffrey Meeker to longtime partner Bobby Winston. Winston’s brother, Sam Winston, will also join in leadership as the company’s president…
