HOUMA, La. (WGNO) — With colder temperatures on the way, some Southeast Louisiana Schools are announcing closures or remote learning days.
Northshore Technical Community College officials announced all campuses in St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Washington, Livingston and St. Helena parishes will be closed Monday, Jan. 26. Officials said students will shift to remote learning.
Terrebonne Parish
Terrebonne Parish School District officials announced that it will cancel school and close all offices on Monday, Jan. 26, due to anticipated cold weather conditions and the possibility of low water pressure, hazardous roads and bridges in the morning.
Orleans Parish
University of Holy Cross will hold classes remotely on Monday, Jan. 26, and Tuesday, Jan. 27. University officials said the physical campus will be closed.
Lafourche Parish
The Lafourche Parish School District announced that all public schools, offices and school-related activities will be closed on Monday, Jan. 26.
Nicholls State University will also be closed on Monday, Jan. 26, due to the impending winter weather. Student residents can stay on campus and will receive food service. All residents are advised by the Office of Residential Living to monitor their emails to see mealtimes and options…
