Two people were displaced Monday evening after a two-alarm fire damaged a Central City house, according to the New Orleans Fire Department.
Firefighters were called at 6:27 p.m. to the two-story house near the intersection of Baronne and Philip streets, where they found heavy fire and flames erupting from the building’s rear. Firefighters issued a second alarm at 7:05 p.m., bringing more staffing to the scene to prevent the fire’s spread within the house.
