Two people were hospitalized Tuesday morning after a streetcar and truck collided on Canal Street during rush hour traffic, according to the New Orleans Police Department.
The crash was reported to police at Canal and South Robertson Street at around 6:50 a.m., police said. The front end of the streetcar appeared to have collided with the left side of the truck’s cab.
