What started as an early evening home invasion in Violet ended with two men in custody and a third picked up on an unrelated warrant, after deputies say an armed trio forced its way into a local residence and then sped off in a silver Nissan Maxima. According to a Facebook post by the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office, three people pushed into the home around 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 19 and one intruder pulled a firearm. No one inside was hurt, and the group took off in the Maxima. Deputies later obtained arrest warrants, and on Jan. 22 two suspects were arrested while a third person was booked on a separate bench warrant. Those arrested included a 24-year-old man and a 19-year-old man.
