NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Six months after French Quarter bartender Michael Milam was killed in a hit-and-run crash while biking home from work, the teen driver who struck him and fled the scene is due back in court Friday (Jan. 30) for sentencing.
Milam moved to New Orleans a few months prior to his death. His Texas family remembers him as a lover of horror movies and pink flamingos.
He lost his mother to breast cancer in 2014, a death that his brother said hit Michael especially hard. But he said his sibling was turning a new leaf with his new job in a new city…
