The National Weather Service issued an Extreme Cold Warning across the southeastern portion of Louisiana.
Forecasters advise it will be dangerously cold with “dangerously cold wind chills.”
The NWS office for New Orleans says, “Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures. An extended period of freezing temperatures could cause ruptured water pipes.”
