Grandmother of 7-year-old boy shot in Algiers calls for justice

NEW ORLEANS — As a 7-year-old boy continues to recover from gunshot wounds, his grandmother is calling for justice and urging police to make an arrest, saying her grandson’s recovery will be especially difficult because of an underlying medical condition.

Seven-year-old Noah remains hospitalized after he was shot Monday, Feb. 2, while visiting an apartment complex in Algiers with his mother. New Orleans police said Noah and man who his family identified was his mother’s boyfriend were standing in the parking lot of the Forest Park Apartments when a suspect began shooting, striking both victims.

Both were taken to the hospital. Police said Noah is in stable condition…
