NEW ORLEANS — The Diboll Parking Garage on Ben Weiner Drive reopened Monday after a fire broke out on the garage’s third level Friday.
The New Orleans Fire Department said the fire started in a single vehicle and spread to at least four others before being extinguished. Video from the scene showed heavy smoke billowing from the upper level as firefighters worked to contain the blaze. No injuries were reported.
University officials said normal access to the Diboll Parking Garage and Complex resumed Monday. Vehicles that remain inside can be retrieved through the weekend, though some parking spaces will remain unavailable next week as cleanup continues…
