Non-verbal autistic child allegedly locked in closet at New Orleans school, according to police

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – The New Orleans Police Department has arrested the suspects in an ongoing investigation of a child abuse incident that occurred on Jan. 22 at a New Orleans school.

The suspects are identified as 52-year-old Monette Marie Angelain (not pictured), 37-year-old Jenea Cionne Gordon (pictured on the left) and 47-year-old Patrice Denise Ancar (pictured on the right).

On Jan. 22, NOPD Special Victims Division Child Abuse Unit detectives responded to a reported cruelty to a juvenile incident at Arthur Ashe School, located in the 1400 block of Gardena Street.

In the incident, three assistant teachers at the school allegedly locked a non-verbal autistic child in a closet, causing the child to panic…
