New Orleans teachers accused of locking nonverbal child with autism in closet

The New Orleans Police Department has arrested one person and two others have surrendered after being accused of locking a nonverbal child with autism in a closet at an area school.

According to the NOPD, the incident happened Jan. 26 at Arthur Ashe School.

Police say three assistant teachers — identified as Monette Mari Angelain, Jenea Cionne Gordon, and Patrice Denise Ancar — are facing charges in connection with the incident…
