Overnight storms are expected to bring damaging winds and a tornado threat

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – A strong line of storms is heading our way tonight, but here’s the good news: if you’re out for the Endymion or Isis parades, you’ll have no weather concerns.

However, if you’re planning to stay out late Saturday night or wake up early Sunday to snag a prime parade-watching spot, you’ll want to keep an eye on the weather.

When the Storms Arrive

The strong storm line will move in after midnight, reaching the river parishes and Tangipahoa Parish around 1 a.m.

From there, it’ll push through the rest of the Northshore, the Bayou parishes, and the New Orleans metro between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m…
