From ‘Jeopardy!’ to NPR: New Orleans’ Shyra Latiolais keeps winning

Shyra Latiolais, of New Orleans, didn’t miss a beat on NPR’s Sunday Puzzle this week.

Latiolais, who won last week’s puzzle and earned a spot on air, aced the nine tricky puzzles host Will Shortz challenged her to figure out on air. Though she had to guess twice on the last question, her first answer would fly in New Orleans.

Once she heard the episode on Sunday morning, Latiolais said the editing of her last answer made it less clear that she was referring to Drew Brees, but most Louisiana listeners will understand the reference nonetheless.

On social media, Latiolais posted about her Sunday Puzzle experience saying, “Ayesha Rascoe is fun, Puzzlemaster Will Shortz is pleasant. I did well in the game — and was kinda witty.”…
