New Orleans police say a man was stabbed twice in the back after a fight broke out in the street near the Canal Street parade corridor. Emergency medical personnel rushed him to a local hospital. Officers were called to the 2500 block of Canal Street around 8:31 p.m. Saturday after a street fight erupted, according to WDSU. When the victim intervened in the altercation, an unknown person allegedly stabbed him twice in the back. The victim was then transported by EMS to a nearby hospital.
