The Jefferson Parish District Attorney’s Office filed charges against a former Metairie middle school teacher accused of inappropriate conduct with a student.
Benjamin Powell, 30, was charged Feb. 11 with molestation of a juvenile by an educator, according to Jefferson Parish court records.
