NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is trying to arrest two suspects accused of similar crimes involving bricks. The case is the latest one to roll on the Wheel of Justice.
According to police, the first case happened around 11:15 p.m. on Jan. 14 at the Rouses in the Warehouse District. They said a man threw a brick at the store’s sliding glass doors but was unable to break it. Next, they said he walked across the street and tried unsuccessfully to smash the window of another business.

The second case happened a little more than two weeks later on Feb. 1 at around 5:15 p.m. Police said a man was able to smash the window of the Two Chicks Cafe on Gravier Street, enter the business, and steal $200 plus a large tub of silverware.
The owner of the cafe told WGNO News that the suspect simply used one of the many loose bricks from the city sidewalk outside the business to smash the glass. The NOPD released security camera images of the suspects in both cases.
