NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Attorney General Liz Murrill announced the resolution lawsuits filed against CVS Health regarding pharmacy benefit manager practices and consumer communications.
This $45 million settlement resolves lawsuits filed by Murrill last June. In the lawsuit, she accused CVS of using customer contact information to send text messages, urging them to oppose a house bill.
She also accused them of pharmacy benefit manager abuse, using their position to prefer high-rebate and high-price drug brands instead of lower-cost choices which have affected independent pharmacies over the years…
