Terrytown couple becomes first residents of new Habitat for Humanity development

TERRYTOWN, La (WVUE) – Giselle and Stephon Jefferson have moved from a mobile home in Port Sulfur into a brand-new house, becoming the first residents of Rising Oaks, a new Habitat for Humanity development.

The development transforms a long-closed golf course into affordable, resilient housing in Terrytown.
