A woman was hit by two cars and killed while crossing Chef Menteur Highway in the Plum Orchard area Sunday evening, according to the New Orleans Police Department.
The crash was reported to police at 6:10 p.m. near Chef’s intersection with Plum Orchard Street, where officers found the woman injured in the roadway. She was declared dead on scene, police said.
Police said the woman was crossing the westbound lanes of the highway when she was hit. The drivers of both vehicles involved stayed on scene and cooperated with investigators, according to NOPD…
