A 19-year-old mom of twin baby boys has died after she was struck by two vehicles while attempting to cross a busy highway in New Orleans.
On Sunday, Feb. 22, just after 6 p.m. local time, a woman — later identified by family as Keydi Matute Antunez — was walking across the westbound lanes of Chef Menteur Highway near the intersection of Plum Orchard Street when she was hit by two vehicles, the New Orleans Police Department said in a statement shared with PEOPLE.
Responding officers discovered her “in the roadway, suffering from multiple injuries,” police said. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS…
