‘I’ve never seen a car fly like that before’: Car flips into Kenner canal after hitting 100 mph during chase

KENNER, La. — Tire tracks on the bank and debris still floating in the water are mark the spot where a car flipped into a Kenner drainage canal Monday night, following a high-speed police chase that began on Interstate 10 in St. Charles Parish.

The incident unfolded around 9 p.m. near West Esplanade and Florida avenues, according to Louisiana State Police.
